Guest Policies
Check In & Check Out: We ask that guests try to arrive between 3-7 pm. Please call ahead with an estimated time of arrival when known. Check out time is 10:30 am weekdays and Saturdays and 11:00 am on Sundays.
Noise: Canterbury Center is a tranquil place in the Center Historic District. At Canterbury Center Bed and Breakfast, we relish that peacefulness and our B&B is a quiet, restful guest house where guests can get a good night’s sleep. We ask that guests are quiet in their rooms after 10:00 pm and return to the house by 11:00 pm at the latest to not disturb other guests.
No Smoking: To protect indoor air quality and the health and well-being of our guests Canterbury Center Bed & Breakfast is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is prohibited in all the enclosed areas within the facility without exception. This includes guest rooms, common areas, and grounds. If a smoking violation occurs in a room, the guest will be charged a $100 non-refundable cleaning fee.
Children: Canterbury Center B&B is currently not ideal for toddlers, but couples with one baby in a crib could be accommodated. Children over eight and teens would be comfortable in the smaller bedroom.
Pets: Our B&B can accommodate guests with well-behaved dogs. We recommend Brookwood Pet Resort in Canterbury for owners who want their pet to be given deluxe care.
Ecology: Canterbury Center Bed and Breakfast is committed to ecology and recycling. We encourage guests to turn off lights and appliances when not in use. Bed linens and towels will be changed mid-week for week long guests.
Communications: Free WIFI available for guests who bring their laptops, tablets or cell phones. Canterbury Country Store is across the road by the Town Gazebo. The Store opens at 6:30 am and has a range of newspapers available.
Meetings: The Parlor is available for daytime bookings for groups wanting a quiet, comfortable space to gather. The fee varies by date and time of reservation.
